2019 Holiday Charity - Sojourner House at PathStone
Sojourner House provides a structured, nurturing environment where women and families prepare to lead responsible, productive, meaningful lives. The strength of Sojourner House lies in recognizing and cultivating the strength within each person to overcome the barriers in their lives and to thrive.

Sojourner House at PathStone serves homeless women and children by providing housing, self-sufficiency skills, and education programs, including afterschool tutoring and performing arts classes for kids. When families arrive at Sojourner House, they are immediately paired with a case manager, who helps them set goals and work through the underlying problems that caused their homelessness, such as mental illness, poverty, addiction, inadequate education, domestic violence, or abuse. We give families the tools they need to be successful, and then offer long-term support so that they continue to thrive after we place them in permanent housing.

12/4/2018 Holiday Charity Donation Results- Mary's Place Refugee Outreach
Our 2018 sock drive was a tremendous success. The numbers collected were: 727 pairs of socks, 8 pairs of gloves and 83 hand crocheted hats.

Mary’s Place Refugee Outreach, offers free daytime programs and services to refugees from many countries including a large group from Myanmar (Burma) and a number from Nepal and Somalia (climates and cultures so unlike ours and so far away). They can learn English, learn Job skills, receive food or clothing, get referrals for housing, etc. Although Mary’s Place has a small staff, it relies heavily on volunteers, a number of which were once Mary’s Place attendees.
